Justice for Chong Huey Ee

Protest my country men and women… Let your words be heard by the ningkampoop’s of the education ministry.. This is injustice.

SPM result is out.Chong Huey Ee scored 15A1 and one A2.. And the dumb and ignoramous education ministry officials reckon 15A1 is better than 15A1 + 1A2. They are honouring kids who scored 15A1..

The Malaysian education system is punishing a kid who had the guts to take up 16 subjects and honour the one who only took 15 subjects and scored straight A.

I know i can’t expect much from the great malaysian civil service men.. but to think that they don’t even know to do basic maths is incomprehensible.. That these nimwhits are responsible for all the education policies..

Goodness what has happend to my country?

The fact that, her name is not even there in the Perak’s ministry’s high Achievers list speaks how silly the whole system is..

Ms Ee.. you did a very very well.. Congratulations. We are very proud of you.
The road ahead as a Malaysian non bumi is bumpy. you have come this far. Don’t loose hope. You are a bright student.. You have a long way to go.

Eureka Eureka Eureka

I finally figured it out after finding a medical doctor leaving the medical profession for the oldest profession..
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10365628
that there are plenty of opportunities out there..
I just need to find where they are.
Currently every application I send needs 3 nos A4 size sheets, an envelope, and of course the postal stamp. I have so far send out 190 applications in Canada. My success rate for an interview meeting is 1 in 100.. Yes 2 interview after being here for 6 months and after 190 applications. Yipppeeeeeeeee
Since I am an environmentally friendly person. I decided to stop sending anymore job applications. I can’t waste any more paper, and I must save the trees.

My first brilliant idea was to start the email business.. like the ones i get everyday.. Home based business, no paper or postage required. just a click of the mouse and my business is booming.
My father is a millionaire..( he is, unfortunately I don’t know where he is!!) and I am the only survivor( aiyyah what to do with my three sisters?) and i need help to transfer the non existent money from a non existent account to an existent account.. All i need to do is, make sure all of you transfer some of your money in to my account and make me rich. Brilliant eh? Sadly too much bad karma.

Then I thought I would start an immigration agency.. Tell all those innocent people (like me) around the world that this country is heaven on earth and make them pay $10000 /person to do the job they can do themselves. Again too much bad karma

Then I thought I will import Ikan billis from Malaysia.. You know the clean ones, that you can buy from pasar malam for RM 5/kg.. I can sure sell them for $50/kg here.. The only problem is..how to make the matsalleh pinch his nose and make him eat the sambal ikan billis? bad idea

Then I thought I will start a medical tourism business.. Pack all the sick ones from here to hospital Subang Jaya or Pantai or Sunway.. Idea bahoot acha hai.. but which sick person will travel across the world to get treatment?

I am still thinking of new ideas that will make me the Bill Gates of Canada…

watch out the hype has begun

Business council of British Columbia has warned” Barring a miraculous increase in productivity, or an unlikely doubling of the number of immigrants to BC, there will be absolute labour shortage that will limit economic growth.”
There is no way the government can overcome the tidal wave of baby boomers retiring. That is a fact.
Immigration agents and their actors would go around the world, show the stats and start the ball rolling.

“Come to Canada, we need you, we have over one million jobs that need to be filled, apply now, we will fast track your application. BTW did we mention according to this or that survey, Canada is the Numero Uno place to live on planet earth”

What nobody would tell you is.. Yes there is a labour shortage, but we are not quite ready to give every Fu, Bu, Chu (Tom Dick and Harry) the job.

If you are from the Asia, you must first prove your english ability. it really doesn’t matter. If your english is better than the average Canadian. We don’t trust the english learned in Asia, what with all the accent!!! We will consider your english good when you speak english as though you are speaking with your mouth full of boiling hot kasava/taro and nobody understands anything. You must also add the required dose of ‘eh’ at the end of every sentence.

Although we the shortage is in the industry, we rather, you drive a taxi or clean the toilet.
We actually prefer our chauffers to be Drs. You see if we get in to any accident at least we will get the first aid, even before the ambulance arrives. After all saving life is what doctors are supposed to do..

We also like our food to be served at Tims or KFC by Engineers. You see we encourage creativity, and what better way to stimulate the engineer brain than to Arrange the salad neatly on the side or to split the bun exactly half.

If you are a computer professional, we would like to meet you.. True.. we only like to meet you, we didn’t say we will offer you any job

If you are not white then sure way to get an interview is to change your name from Chu to Chuck..

If you want to be a member of any professional organization, barring taxi driver association etc..you need to have “Canadian experience”. Cleaning Canadian toilet isn’t really an experience. You see we want to make it an exclusive club, so we can keep our status. What do you expect? You are just an immigrant and now you want to be a member of APEGBC or CHE? (Association of professional engineers, BC.. Canadian healthcare executive)

We by the way have the right to call you names. If you are a muslim, you will be Arab Canadian, If you are an east Indian, you will be Indo Canadian. How else would we know you are not white and accidentally call you for the interview.

You must also know that, we expect you to leave your parents behind in your home country. Of course we encourage families to be together. But first you should contribute enough money to make sure that our parents are taken care of.They have to be given disability pension and the best heath care. We can’t afford it anymore, so you have to contribute with your tax. By then we hope that your parents either die, or suffer major health ailments, so we can refuse the visa on medical grounds.
If neither of the (un)fortunate events happend, then you can wait at least 3 years for the sponsorship, by then surely your parents would have died. what with the average life expectancy in Asia being around 70 yrs. If you are in your 30’s then your parents are surely in their late 60’s so we just keep our fingers crossed.

Drugs? Crystal meth? . You don’t have to worry. Now a days our dealers are hi tech. You can dial a drug. BTW don’t go any where near Hastings street.. You are asking me Where is that? You don’t need to know. You are an immigrant. Stick to your ghetto.

If you are still thinking this is the land of opprtunity, and have money(preferably lots) and patience( currently London waiting period is 4 yrs)..Please come to Canada… We need you…our toilets are dirty.

language to unite us

Recently there was a call to make Punjabi language as a national language along with english and french
White Canadians were QUICK to shoot it down.Ms. Joyce Poley wrote in the Vancouver sun…Canada needs a glue to bind the communities together.. that sticky yucky glue for her is a common language. She wrote :making other languages official and invest in their developement.. would be stagerringly costly and counter productive” Instead we should let everyone learn English
Mario Castanon has better suggestion, ask all those reluctant to learn either english or french to stay in their own home land.

I come from a Country that has three totally different races(not including east Malaysia). Malay was spoken in the land before the settlers came from China and India. No one chnaged that. Every Malaysian speaks malay..yet no one prevents you from learning your mother tongue. Every single Malaysian child can study in Malay, Chinese or Tamil school. Most of our kids are multilingual. they can speak fluently malay, hokkien/hakka/mandarin,tamil and ofcourse english. You can buy panadol from the pharmacy and have the instruction in english, malay, chinese and tamil. A simple pouch to dispense medicine at the clinic will have the instructions in all four languages. Malay is the national language, yet Chinese language and Tamil survives..

Is it the same in Canada? The white settlers came, forced their language on the native indians. French settlers came in 1534 and the english settlers in 1666. Neither learned the native language, Instead they made the native people learn english. Now Canada has two official language.
However how many Canadians speak French?
I speak fairly fluent french.learned as a second language at secondary school level, later as a foreign language at the Alliance Francais in KL. It was easy to learn French in Malaysia.
It isn’t the same in Canada.
There are no places where I can send my kids to learn French within the 40 km radius around my home in Canada. At school they don’t learn french either. They can go to French immersion school which is about 24 km away and there is no guarentee they would get admission because of the disparity between the supply and demand. The school board draw lots and see which lucky ones get to learn french.
What would happen if you make Punjabi a national language? When you already have a title for the “less/not so” Canadians( like Indo Canadians), why not encourage their language?

About the staggering cost Ms Poley mentioned.. it looks like she thinks the immigrants are draining the Canadian economy.. not filling the bottomless pit. She perhaps is conveniently forgetting that immigrants are paying substantial amount in various forms of tax, so that the baby boomer Canadians can still have healthcare/disability pension/and pension.
Immigrants pay income tax to support the Canadians, while their own parents live in their home country( currently the waiting period is 3.5 years for an immigrant to sponsor his/her parent)

The white Canadian think that they can tell to the “less/not so” Canadians, ” you are in my country.. you listen to me..speak my language or go back to your home country..
Sound very much like the Malaysian idiot who said in the parliament”if you are not happy, go back to your home country”.. There is a difference though.. It isn’t the native indian who is saying that.. It is the white settler, who came a few centuries ahead of the punjabi, but now is the superior, by virtue of his skin.. The same settler who destroyed the native indian culture/language, and now weary of the punjabi.
When would this white supremacy end?

name calling.. the Canadian way

Canada like Malaysia is multiracial.. Both are supposed to be democratic and Canada is the epitome of human rights, while Malaysia is where Malay muslim have rights.
Both countries have one thing in common. Classification of homosapiens. Created to make some superior and the others inferior.

In Malaysia.. You are Malay, Chinese,Indian and lain lain(others) .. The malays are superior, they are the sons of the soil. It doesn’t matter, if you are from Indonesia or from Mindano.. as long as the person is muslim, he will be a malay this generation or certainly the next generation. So malay = muslim=superior

In Canada.. There are Canadians and then there is Indo Canadian, Arab Canadian, etc
However There is another category that you would never see.under the Canadian group there wouldn’t be British Canadian, Swedish Canadian, Italian Canadian, etc

By virtue of albino skin, they come under caucasian category.. the superior group who can be classed under one category, because they look alike???
What does a Swede have in common with an Italian? Nothing.. But in Canada they are one..
Read the Vancouver sun.. few days ago main page subtitle is”Indo Canadian gangster.. Today in the paper there is an article of Arab Canadian.
Some how the crimes when committed by an ethnic group becomes more horrendous..hence we should let the world know about it. Beware of Indo- Canadians.. Beware of Arab Canadians..
oh by the way.. the white Canadians.. oh they are the paragon of virtue…They see no evil, hear no evil and do no evil..just like the barisan nasional..Hippocrites
When a person becomes a Canadian citizen, he/she becomes just that.. Canadian.. However the whites think, they should be held in awe and reverred.. because they are Canadians, and the rest are Indo Canadians and Arab Canadians.. etc..
and we talk about equal opportunities and racial integration..

Spring Equinox

It is the day when every single one on planet earth gets 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. It is the new beginning.. atleast that is what the elders used to say.
March 21st, the spring equinox is 12 days away and I am sitting at home watching more than 4 cm SNOW on ground and it is still snowing. in the middle of supposedly the spring season.
This is Vancouver and the reason I chose Vancouver was because I didn’t have to layer and layer clothes to survive the winter and I certainly didn’t want to shovel the snow.
I thought I welcomed spring few weeks ago when I saw the dandelions and the robin.
This morning when my daughter and I opened the front door and found the whole area covered in snow I told her.” hmmm effects of global warming” and my daughter looked at me and replied” mama, warm means hot and snow ain’t hot.. So it should be global freezing.. Perhaps!!!

My favourite food

This morning my daughter asked me, mama what is your favourite food? oi, that got me thinking. Once a Malaysian, always a Malaysian.. All Malaysians live to eat and i am no exception to the fact. Food, glorious food and only in Malaysia, would you get so many different choices.
To make matters simple, I deided to divide the choice like they do in all the applications. Malay, Chinese,Indian and lain lain. But I hit the first stumbling block.. Each category would have to be divided on Break fast, lunch dinner, snack,anytime..
Alamk.. how to choose one favourite food. It is difficult lo..
Here is my pick
Breakfast: Nasi lemak, dosai, wan tan me, tau sa pao,
Lunch:Banana leaf rice at the pandi restaurent in TTDI, Chinese mixed rice
Dinner: Penang char fried kway teow( i don’t mind going to penang from KL and eat at my favourite hawker, near the makro!!!),nasi lemak, mee rebus, nasigoreng kampung,Laksa, mee goreng, singapore fried mee hoon..
Any time.. pisang goreng, cakoi with kopi o,pao, otaak otak, vadai, inti pulut

My daughter looked too confused when i rattled on my favourite food..but then again.. that is what being Malaysian is all about eh??

Artist in the family

I was the most well known artist in my med school, to such an extent that most of the pictures in my anatomy record book were drawn by youngest sister. I can’t draw a straight line.(ofcourse I suffer fom Asthigmatism as well.. that is the excuse/reason) and when i write my answers on a plain paper, the lines get so skewed, to the reader it looked something like wrods climbing mount Kinabalu.
Currently my youngest is a budding artist. Every few mints, she would come to me telling..mama can you draw me a picture of a girl. As of this moment, after drawing a million picture of a girl, i can beat Picasso.. One circle for the head and diamond for the body, inverted triangle for the skirt and two triangles for the shoes.. Voila..new age mastero… Trianglism!!!!
Last night at 3AM, my youngest woke me up from my beauty sleep, not because she wants to go to the loo, not because she wants a drink, not because her room is dark/cold etc.. At 3 in the morning, when everyone is asleep, she wants me to draw a girl….. And I am still sane!!!

Lee Kuan Yew at his best

Oil and Islamism: Top World Agenda
Lee Kuan Yew, 03.13.06, 12:00 AM ET

Islam has not been a problem. However, contemporary radical Islam, or Islamism, is a problem. Oil without Islamism can be a problem, but Islamism plus oil becomes a volatile mix. Islamism plus oil plus weapons of mass destruction (WMD) equals a threat. Iran has insisted on its right to enrich uranium and has threatened to cut its oil exports, currently 2.5 million barrels per day, if sanctions are imposed. The prospect of a cut in supply caused oil prices to tick upward. A nuclear-capable Iran will significantly alter the geopolitical balance. Other countries in the Middle East will also want nuclear weapons, increasing the chances that fissile material for WMD will fall into terrorists’ hands.

How did the powerful combination of Islamism, oil and WMD come about? After WWII the European empires dissolved. More than 40 Arab and Muslim countries became independent, with Arab nationalism their first-phase response. Arab nationalism reached a high point in 1956, when President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal, causing the French, British and Israelis to invade and occupy Suez. President Dwight Eisenhower, however, opposed the invasion and forced them to withdraw. The Arab world was jubilant, confident that Arabs would now regain their place in the sun. In 1958 Egypt and Syria merged to form the United Arab Republic, while Egypt and Yemen formed a confederation called the United Arab States. Both were dissolved in 1961. In 1967 Israel defeated Egypt, Syria and Jordan in the Six Day War. Nasser was diminished, and pan-Arab nationalization lost its appeal. Pan-Islamism soon emerged as the unifying force.

During the 1973 Yom Kippur Arab-Israeli war, the conservative Arab oil states demonstrated their power by imposing an oil embargo on the U.S. and Europe. Oil prices quadrupled. The Arab oil states and Iran became fabulously wealthy. This wealth enabled the Arabs and Iranians to preach to and persuade Muslims in other parts of the world to adopt their strict and severe versions of Islam. They funded the building of mosques and madrasahs in poorer countries, sent preachers and paid for Muslim leaders to attend religious conferences. They are responsible for raising the religiousness of Muslims abroad and have “Arabized” once moderate Malay and Indonesian Muslims.

Jihadist suicide bombings first made news when Shiites in Lebanon (Hezbollah)–instigated, instructed and financed by Iranians–bombed the U.S. Marine barracks at the Beirut airport in 1983, killing 241 American servicemen. Sunnis in Palestine (Hamas) have imitated Hezbollah with suicide bombings against Israelis. Radical Muslims, instructed by al Qaeda, have imitated these bombings in Pakistan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.

Islamists believe the time is ripe to reassert Islam’s supremacy. The jihadists among them have chosen Iraq as their second battleground. Their goal is to drive the Americans out of Iraq, just as they drove the Soviets out of Afghanistan.

Islamic solidarity is at a high point. When a Danish newspaper published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, one with a bomb-shaped turban, radical imams in Denmark sought support from Gulf Arabs and other Arab states. Danish products were boycotted. Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen expressed regret that Muslims had found the cartoons offensive. Papers in France and many other EU countries reprinted the cartoons in support of freedom of the press. Gunmen in Gaza surrounded the EU missions. Muslims marched in protest, burning flags, brandishing clenched fists and uttering death threats. Muslim presidents in Egypt, Pakistan and Afghanistan spoke out in condemnation of the cartoons. The Indonesian president and Malaysian prime minister protested but asked their countries’ Muslims to remain calm. Danish, Norwegian and Austrian embassies were attacked. In Beirut these attacks may have been without government sanction, but in Damascus and Tehran they appeared organized. Each televised outburst triggered a larger one, in a crescendo of Muslim rage.

Democracy in Muslim States

Radical Islamic groups in several countries want to engineer a clash of civilizations, and oil power has given them the means. In this climate the U.S. must be circumspect when urging Arab regimes to open up. Islamist parties could easily win through the one-man-one-vote system. But once they’re in power, free elections will cease to exist. In January Hamas won 74 seats, as opposed to Fatah’s 45 seats in elections to the Palestinian legislature. In the first Iraqi parliamentary elections, in December 2005, religious Shiite parties won the most seats. In Egypt’s parliamentary elections that same month the Muslim Brotherhood substantially increased its seats.

But there is hope. Following 9/11, Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf took a stand against al Qaeda. Four assassination attempts since then have not intimidated him. Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak and Algeria’s President Abdelaziz Bouteflika are also fighting Muslim extremists. Moderate Muslim leaders in Asia have stood up to the Islamists as well. Malaysia’s Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi opposes PAS, the Islamist opposition party, on all fronts–economic, social and religious. In January Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called for more regional cooperation against terror. He warned that Southeast Asian militants are “regrouping, adapting and recruiting.”

More Muslim leaders like these will have to fight the terrorists if Muslims don’t want their lives controlled by Islamist radicals.
