loyalty and family

My sisters told me that, when dad left us, he never bothered to find anything about us, why should we bother about him now? For him, we never existed. Why should we find out where he is or what he does? My younger sister won’t even call him dad.. she just calls him ‘that old man”. I don’t blame her.. She was the worst off.. too young to understand how the loving dad, can turn in to a total stranger overnight.

Do I go looking for a man, who once was my father? Would it make any difference?

  1. I do think you should go looking for your father. Try from your grandmoms place or your fathers relations or even try the telephone company and ask them about the number change. If you know his last name, anywhere in the World with a directory service should tell you so.
You might think I am little wierd right to tell you this, but how much ever bad your dad is,you will find peace. I saw a little documentry about a girl searching her father (he molested her) after she turned 30. Even when she met him after so many years, he never admitted to his horrible crime…
but she says later in ther interview she found peace with herself.

You know for your good old grandmom, dont you think she would send out a smile from heaven when you finally speak to her son?

Hope you find a job in Canada soon.

  2. Hi..my dad holds dual citizenship and tht simply means..he could live in any part of the world(british)
..I would very much like to see him.. all the while the thought was he was there..now tht he isn’t..it makes it even more harder and yes I need the peace..
